About me: I’m a late 20s gal and former vegetarian/vegan  that has always been devoted to seeking out cruelty-free products.  I try to live a relatively eco-friendly life but I do occasionally enjoy my (free range and hormone free) meat!

How did Green Your Beauty come about? I recently began reading all the negative literature regarding parabens and decided to investigate further, only to find out that many of the products I was currently using were not only filled with these nasty preservatives, but with many other offending toxins that can only possibly be doing more harm, than good. I have always taken pretty good care of my skin and am starting to notice some more fine lines and uneven skin texture.  I am still on the search for the perfect skin-care, (if such a thing exists), but also want any potential readers to be reminded that skin health comes from the inside-out, and the best place to start is with a healthy diet and regular exercise! I will also be including an article and book section linking to interesting articles on diet and skin health. On the right side bar you will find updated news links related to natural beauty, health, and  skin care. I have personally selected these articles, which is what makes them superior to an RSS feed. This site is not just for ladies! My wonderful boyfriend is frequently willing to try out cruelty-free products for men, and my father is allergic to almost everything known to man, so keep a look out for information on male-friendly products here as well!

Why is this different than other review sites/blogs? It is completely devoted to reviewing products claiming to be “natural,” “organic,” etc. I only review products claiming to be cruelty-free and also do my best to investigate unknown ingredients. I have done a fair amount of research, but being that I am not an expert, most of my information will come from those that are. If you feel that I have not given you credit or am violating a copyright from your website, please let me know! If you are interested in contributing articles or blogs to this site I am very much interested in any help! As of right now, this is intended to be a non-profit site which is why it is completely ad-free.

Products will be reviewed on a scale of  1-5 trees, (with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best).
