Products for the ‘Serum’ Category
RATING: 2 TREES

I have been using this serum off and on for a few months with no results. I bought mine through Sephora, but it is also available on the website. (However they seem to be having coding issues and I was not able to link to it at the present time). For $50.00 I expect results!

INGREDIENTS: Water (Aqua), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Calcium Acerbate, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Euphrasis Offinalis Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Oleth-20, Hydroxyethylcellulose, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Benzophenone-4, Sodium Hyaluronate, Thioctic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, Fragrance (Parfum), Yellow 6 (CI 15985).
FINAL VERDICT:This product did nothing for me. It has a sticky texture on your skin and I would sometimes wake up with acne-like bumps after using it, (possibly hives from all the chemicals!). The additions of both fragrance and dye (Yellow 6), are unnecessary and possibly related to toxicity and irritation. PEG-12 dimethicone is rated a 4-6 on EWG and may be related to organ toxicity and may not be safe for damaged skin. In short: the addition of at least three added chemicals of moderate to high hazard do not qualify this as a suitable natural product in my book. There are also little to no proven anti-aging ingredients other than some of the fruit extracts which could be found in more effective products. On the plus side, the smell is nice, but that is due to added synthetic fragrance.
