Many doctors, nutritionists, and dietitians advise drinking green tea due to its extensive health benefits. Green tea is rich in epigallocatechin gallate, (EGCG), which is a very strong antioxidant, and is also said to have a calming affect, aid in weight loss, and prevent certain health ailments, (possibly even cancer). Green tea is also purported to aid in concentration, which may be due to the caffeine content. Experts range in suggesting you drink anywhere from one to ten(!) cupes of day. I personally consume about three cups of day, and stick to decaf in the evening. The good news is that even if you don’t like the taste of tea, green tea is now infused in smoothies, juices, and vitamin waters, or you can take it in a supplement. I try to limit the amount of supplements I personally take because many of them are not FDA approved and can have side affects that don’t present themselves through getting the nutrients via food or liquid. Apparently Starbucks has or had some kind of green-tea infused beverage, but I’m not sure if that is an ongoing thing or not. Take a look at some video links that I have included. You can also search the site for green tea, and related articles will come at a later date.
